PURPOSE
 
1.0 PURPOSE    

This document describes the processes taking place to unload fabrics from a Dyeing Machine.

 
2.0 SCOPE    

This process are only carried out in dyeing area and covers the process of unloading fabrics from dyeing machine.

Batch processing Card is used to record all batch details, customer, EK , construction and operational actions

4.0 APPLICABLE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS& DOCUMENTATION    

 
Personal Protection Equipment
Worn at all times whilst working in the Chemical Store       
4.1 Footwear Protection
Worn to eliminate continued wet feet, eliminate chemical burns and eliminate slippage on wet floors.    
 
    
        
4.2 No Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on the production floor or offices.    
      

4.3 Eye Protection
Used to eliminate corrosive burns from chemicals.    
       
4.4 Hand Protection
Used to eliminate corrosive burns from chemicals and to improve grip of chemical containers.   
 
5.0 EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS    

5.1 Dyeing Operators must have 4 weeks experience to do this unloading job.

 
6.0 EQUIPMENT USED / APPROVED MATERIALS    
 
6.1 High Pressure Fabric Dyeing Machine.
       
6.2 Atmospheric Fabric Dyeing Machine

            
6.4 Fabric Transportation Trolley
This trolley is used to unload dyed fabrics in wet condition.

7.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

8.0 PROCEDURE    

8.1 Before the machine drains 100% of the volume of water, the operator, places a clean empty trolley beneath each unloading real.

8.2 The Machine Operator runs the nozzle at low speed by adjusting the Winch Motor Speed on the controller.

8.3 The operator runs the machines until the end (ends/joins) are located and using a knife or scissors cuts the join.

 
8.3 Locating the end of the fabric and cutting.   


8.4 Selecting the lower side of the roll, the operator will tie the rope onto the end of the fabric.

 
8.4 Attaching the Rope to the end of the fabric.    
 
    
8.5 The Machine Operator runs the unloading reel by starting unloading motor and feeding the lower side of the fabric over the top of the unloading reel.

 
8.5 Feeding fabric over the unloading real.    
 
  
8.6 The fabric is then fed directly into an empty, clean trolley until 100% of the fabric is located inside the trolley and no fabric is in the nozzle.

8.7 When all the fabrics is unloaded the dyeing Machine Operator records the unload time onto the Batch Card and submits the batch card to the Sr. Operator for data entry into the Production Register.

8.8 After entering all the details, Sr. Operator will return the Batch Card to the Machine Operator.

8.7 Machine Operator then hangs the batch card to one of Round trolley and relocates the round trolley to the Slitting Machine to begin the Finishing operation.

Batch Card    A physical card generated to record full batch details from customer name, Batch No, Fabrication, Color Name, Weight and other process information.       
Rope    It’s used to tie up the end of the fabrics.       
Trolley    The vessel which contains fabrics.
